On August 28, 2026, members of the “Nối vòng tay lớn” Charity Fund of Minh Tam Medical Equipment Co., Ltd. continued their journey to support 11 orphaned students facing particularly difficult circumstances in Da Nang City.
The seven households visited by the volunteer team each carried a story of hardship and adversity. In Thang An Commune, the team met Tran Nguyen Moc Lan and Nguyen Thanh Nhan, who had lost their father and whose mother had left, leaving them dependent on their elderly paternal grandmother. Pham Le Kim Ngan lives with her mother, who works in agriculture, while her older sister had to leave school at an early age. Tran Thi Mo, who lost both parents, relies primarily on the social assistance received by her elderly maternal grandmother as she continues her education into Grade 11.
In Duy Nghia Commune, the circumstances were equally heartbreaking. Siblings Kieu Trinh and Van Quoc, who lost their father, are supported by their mother, a factory worker who struggles to provide for her children while caring for her ill mother-in-law. Three siblings - Van Quyen, Quang Long, and Diep Anh - lost their father and live with their mother, who suffers from several serious illnesses but continues selling banh mi to support her children. Meanwhile, siblings Thanh Dung and Van Si, who lost their mother, have grown up without a mother's care, while their father works as a construction laborer on an unstable income.
Seven households. Eleven children. Countless challenges. Yet within each of these young lives burns an extraordinary determination to overcome adversity and remain committed to education. The financial support provided by the volunteer group not only helps ease the families' financial burden at the beginning of the new school year, but also carries a deeper message of compassion and solidarity. Delivered at the right moment, these gifts serve as a source of emotional strength, restoring confidence and encouraging the children to weather life's challenges and continue pursuing their educational dreams.
